Remembering | In a time before PTSD was recognized as a war malady needing treatment, Sgt. Edda Wallace returned from the Vietnam War psychologically broken. Wallace took his own life on Chelsea's West Hill, when Eddie Walllace (rmiddle, the son he shared with Mary Roberts (middle right), was only two months old. Chelsea remembered their fallen brother on Memorial Day this year with a presentation of Edda Wallace's many service medals by Doug Lyford (middle left) and Katherine Long, of US Senator Patrick Leahy's staff (far left). Michael Wallace (right), Edda Wallace's eldest son, came to Chelsea from Texas for the presentation. Half-brothers. Micahel and Eddie met for the first time last Thursday at Boston's Logan Airport when Michael arrived at his younger brother's invitation.
