Conductor and vocal coach Jarvis Antonio Green of Barnard and Hanna Linowski of Hartland perform during the Winter Recital at the First Universalist Church and Society of Barnard on Monday night while other performers look on. When asked about the outcome of the evening's events, Green stated "Everyone was so happy and joyful. I felt love and support from the entire community during the performance. Barnard is a profound community." Green, a professional actor, singer and vocal coach, has been living and working in Barnard since last summer, having previously traveled with the acclaimed Broadway production of Rent in recent years. Many of the performers from the production were his students from surrounding communities in the Upper Valley. (Seth Butler / www.sethbutler.com)
