VETERENS REMEMBERED | Young Emily Pettus, of Rutland, was on her way to the Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph Center with her mother Kristina when she spied the American Legion color guard in Depot Square at noon on Monday. They stopped to give thanks, Emily presenting each veteran with a small flower. Here Legion commander Mark Conard (USMC) receives a flower as Nap Pietryka (USMC) and David Peirce (Navy) look on.
