Barbara and Marvin Harvey show a presidential triptych to appraisers Saturday at Pierce Hall during an antiques appraisal show that took place Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Pierce Hall on Main Street in Rochester attracted 57 people who brought treasures for professional appraisers to look at.
“It was exciting and very successful and many said they'd like to see it become an annual event, so it will be,” said Nancy Sanz of the Pierce Hall Community Center. “The most interesting piece I saw was a human hair wreath from the 1800s.”
The professional appraisers at the show included John Wallace, owner of Autumn Gold; David Bennett, also an accredited jewelry professional; Greg Hamilton, owner of Stone Block Antiques; and Mike Wilson of Brandon, who has been buying and selling antiques in Central Vermont for 45 years.(Herald / Tim Calabro)
