A LOT OF DIRT | A man who asked not to be named fills his trailer from a pile of dirt that covered the Carpenter athletic field in South Royalton. This monumental pile, one of many on the field, is gradually being removed by town crews and private citizens. The height of the silt covering can still be viewed on the spectator side of the fence.
