Norwich cadets Emily Baugus, Margo Smotnick, Sarah Copeland, Meaghan Weppner and Jackie Derocher change socks and tend to blisters during a pause for lunch Friday in the middle of their three-day, fifty-mile Legacy March from Norwich, Vt., the college's town of origin, to Northfield, where the school currently resides. There to greet the volunteer marchers (who are raising money for homeless veterans) at the South Randolph covered bridge were members of the VFW post 8451 out of Chelsea, who brought sandwiches and sodas for the cadets.
