Braintree Boulevard | The town crew is finishing extensive work on a long stretch of Braintree Hill Road just north of Rolling Rock Road that has kept the route closed to day time traffic for several weeks. Running down a north facing slope through dense forest, for decades this section of road has been notoriously difficult to negotiate during mud season. Clearing a wider swath along the right of way will permit improved snow removal, a dryer surface in wet seasons and, in addition, affords a splendid view to the north, not seen in many years. Nancy Gray, out for an evening drive with husband Ray to see the project's progress, reports being thrilled to once again see the rock walls and long views she remembers from her childhood.
