Last Saturday, just shy of six weeks after flood waters from Tropical Storm Irene demolished the bridge over the White River that connected Route 73 to Route 100 south of Rochester village, workers from Miller Construction pushed a temporary bridge into place there in an an all-day operation that attracted many onlookers. The bridge, which came in on six trucks over Brandon Gap, is due to be open for traffic by Saturday, October 15. (Herald / Jeff Mather)
