Bill Danforth sprays down the floor of his sugar house on Strafford Road in Tunbridge after bottling 40 gallons of his family’s maple syrup. One could say maple syrup runs though Danforth’s veins, he was raised around it all his life and has been running the family sugaring operation for 25 years. Danforth sells most of his processed maple syrup to other sellers by the barrel but always keeps a small batch at his family’s house for sale by the honor system. (Herald / Zach Nelson)
