On a railroad siding behind the Green Mountain Feeds grain elevators in Bethel, the brakes on the two railroad cars at left were tampered with, leading them to run down hill and strike a third car. Fortunately, the brakes in the third car held, averting a much worse outcome. (Herald / M.D. Drysdale)
