YARDWORK | Karen Butler removes dead lily stalks from the garden of her Central Street home in Randolph, Wednesday morning. Behind her is cordwood split from ancient sugar maple toppled by a wind storm this spring. "I expect to get more than three cords from that tree before I'm finished," commented Bruce Butler form his day job at the post office. (Herald / Bob Eddy)
