First Kiss - Young Madilyn Larkin of Brunswick, Ga., receives her first kiss from a Vermont Holstein/Angus calf at the open house held last Thursday evening at the Lincoln Family Farmstand on the East Bethel Road.
Sam Lincoln reported that almost 200 people showed up. He counted the event as Òa tremendous success,Ó followed by emails and phone callsÑand more business. The farmstand previously stood on Randolph CenterÕs main street, but Sam and Ashley Lincoln found that trying to staff it there broke up family life too much, so they consolidated operations at the scenic family farm.
It was clear at the open house Thursday that a major key to the farmstandÕs success will be Matt Lincoln, 7, and John, 5, who graciously showed guests around the premises. (Herald / M. D. Drysdale)
