Vermont Public Radio's Steve Zind of Braintree was recently honored with three national Edward R. Murrow Awards for "outstanding achievements in electronic journalism." Zind's work in Afghanistan earned him two awards, one for documentary and the other for use of sound. He won a third award for his writing on a humor piece titled "In Appreciation of the Cluster Fly." Zind, a VPR veteran of 15 years took home three of the 13 awards given in the small markets radio category. (Herald / Tim Calabro)
