Brian Jones of Riford Brook Road in Braintree began making wooden boxes from small strips of scrap wood 15 years ago. In that time he has quietly crafted 3142 boxes, each signed and dated. Most are stored in 100 larger boxes throughout his 19th-century farmhouse. (Herald / Bob Eddy)
