WALKING TO HELP OTHERS | These walkers, seen here on the picturesque Morgan Mile in Brookfield, were some of the 64 walkers and runners (plus four dogs!) who participated in the second annual “Sufficient Food for All Walk” to benefit the Randolph Area Food Shelf Saturday, April 28. The walkers, who left from Brookfield Elementary School, raised a total of $21,708. At last year’s inaugural walk, there were only eight walkers and $6,000 was raised. In addition to the adults, many students participated this year, including the RUHS chapter of National Honor Society. One first grader raised $75. Joy Kacik was the overall organizer of the event, assisted by 33 volunteers. The Frankenburg Agency provided a banner across Main Street, lunch for the walkers and volunteers, and many prizes. Other businesses also donated to the event. (Herald / Bob Eddy)
