With instructor Tim Murphy looking on, Jakup Needham of Hancock measures the span for a brace Tuesday at Randolph Technical Career Center. For the third year, RTCC's Environmental Resource Management and Building Trades classes conspired together to make a timberframe building that will be raffled off at their May 10 open house to raise scholarship money for students. This year's model, a 10' x 12' structure, is made from white pine harvested from Randolph's town forest on Tatro Hill and put together in the traditional post-and-beam style. (Herald / Tim Calabro)
