As of Wednesday evening, students at RUHS had constructed 3300 origami cranes in an effort to support relief of tsunami victims in Japan. The origami is part of a national program called Paper Cranes for Japan through which the Bezos Family Foundation has dedicated $2 per crane up to $200,000. (Herald / Tim Calabro)
