STRAFFORD MEMORIAL CONCERT SERIES | Upper Valley choral director Lindsey Warren conducted Ensemble Zephyrus and the Strafford Community Chorus in "Expressions of Peace," celebrating the life of beloved Strafford resident Michael Manheim Sunday evening. The program featured a cappella works by Vermont composers Kathy Eddy and Erik Nielsen, as well as Thomas Tallis and others. In keeping with the theme, the choral offerings were interleaved with poems by Denise Levertov, W.B. Yeats and others, and the sanctuary of the Strafford United Church of Christ was hung with contemplative paintings by local artist Todd Binzen. (Herald / Bob Eddy)
