NEW SHOES | The Vermont Farriers Association, in conjunction with VTC held a day-long clinic Saturday with world-renowned farrier Michael Wildenstein at Rough Terrain Farm in Randolph Center. Wildenstein is one of only four in the world to complete Britain's Fellow of Worshipful Company of Farriers title with honors. The annual spring clinic came to Randolph for the first time this year, where farriers from as far away as Rhoade Island and Canada, along with veterinarians and horse owners gathered for lectures and demonstrations. Here, Wildenstein, center, discusses his choice of shoes for Maxine, a 12-year-old Hanoverian, to give her maximum support based on her gait. (Herald / Tim Calabro)
