LABYRINTH | Shortly into the new year, Revell Allen, of Greenhouse Ave. in Randolph, walked into her back yard with a drawing of a labyrinth. Using no measuring devices, strings, or tools other than snowshoes, she simply walked that labyrinth into freshly fallen snow. She's continued to walk the path every snowfall since, and many other times as well. "I've walked it twice in moonlight. It takes about twenty minutes, but once, traveling slowly, I walked for two hours." Deer, it can be seen, are no respecters of labyrinths. Allen jokes that she expects to come out one morning to find hoof prints carefully following the entire route. (Herald / Bob Eddy)
