On its tour of Vermont schools, a giant map of North America offered a very unique geography lesson to students at Randolph Elementary School on Monday. Weighing about 150 pounds, the enormous map is one of three designed by Vermonter Dan Beaupre for the National Geographic Society. In circulation are also Africa and Asia, while South America is currently in progress. With the Giant Travelling Map came teacher Nancy Ruby of the Vermont Geography Alliance, who took RES classes on a whirlwind tour of North America. (Herald / Tim Calabro)
