Celebrating at Pierce Hall | Pierce Hall Community Center’s executive director, Valerie Levitan, and Rep. Sandy Haas were among those who took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday, March 16, to celebrate the official opening of the hall’s long-awaited elevator addition, making the building handicapped accessible. The ceremony was followed by the annual PHCC Calendar Dinner fundraiser, during which Sen. Dick McCormack read a letter of congratulations from Sen. Patrick Leahy. The well-attended dinner was served by a dozen student volunteers from the Rochester School, and there was a large raffle drawing for prizes donated by area businesses and individuals. Table hostesses were Betty Chase, Kiefer Irwin, Elissa Klingensmith, Donna Gallant, Liz Steventon, Kristi Fuller, Jeanie Levitan Crickard, Carrie Gilbert, Eva Jesso, Valerie Levitan, and Nancy Sanz.
