ÔGANGNAM STYLEÕ COMES TO RANDOLPH RINK | The skaters at the Randolph Rink took time for something a little different last Friday afternoon when rink manager Vincent Freeman staged a hometown video of ÒGangnam StyleÓ on skates.
ÒGangnam,Ó by South Korean singer PSY, is the first song to collect more than a billion views on YouTube, and easily qualifies as the most popular song in the world right now. Freeman has been playing it through the rink speakers for awhile and noted that some of the kids immediately began dance moves from the famous video.
A photographer and videographer, he brought his camera to the rink Friday and started filming as a dozen kids let loose with enthusiasm. You can find the video online at www.youtube.com/RaVinPhotography or at the rinkÕs Facebook page: http://a.pgtb.me/MCKxlh.
Freeman reported yesterday that the youtube video had attracted over 100 views after less than two days after being posted. He hopes to try out some other ideas at the rink as the season progresses.
