Last weekend, Killington Ski Resort hosted its third consecutive FIS Women World Cup ski competition, drawing over 40,000 spectators over the two day event. It was the most well attended WWC tour event in the world. Mikaela Shiffrin, a Burke Mountain Academy alum, skied to her 34th slalom event victory since her WWC debut in 2012. She needs just one more win to tie Marlies Schild of Austria. Ripton Vermont native, 18 year old Abi Jewett, made her inaugural appearance in the giant slalom event as a newly inducted member of the women's USA Ski Team as thousands of fans cheered her on.
