Turning | Solstice, the moment when the sun begins it's long sweep toward us from the southern hemisphere, occurs at 11:28 am, today. This image records the position of first light on the interior of the photographer's Braintree home on Wednesday. From this week, with each successive day, the light will move downward and to the left, until the cycle repeats a half year from now. (Herald / Bob Eddy)
