With the first week of class under its belt, Vermont Law and Graduate School welcomed the college’s new president Rod Smolla with a convocation ceremony Thursday evening. Smolla, a longtime attorney and professor, used the opportunity to discuss recent Supreme Court decisions and then sang along with his son’s Brooklyn-based band that came up for the event.
