Almost 100! | Rachel Ribi, of Randolph is soon to turn the corner on her first century. Born Racel Durkee in Tunbridge on September 10, 1916, she has two children, "One of each, a boy and a girl," she quipped, adding, "and three husbands!" The family has already celebrated Rachel's milestone with a big party at the Brookfield Grange Hall. "We had balloons, flowers, and a beautiful three foot cake with one candle," she smiled. Three nieces were visiting isiting her at Gifford Medical Center when the Herald stopped by last Tuesday: (l-r) Rene Philbrick of South Royalton, Barbara Ormrod of Spring Hill, Florida, and Alice Chase of South Royalton. Rachel reports that she is presently moving from to Rowan Court, 378 Prospect St., Barre, and will be delighted to receive news and visits from family and friends in her new home. (Herald / Bob Eddy)
