Wind Damage | A micro-burst of wind and rain swept through South Strafford last Thursday evening, ripping up trees and downing limbs in a fairly narrow but destructive band. The wind came from the south, instead of the usual west, and perhaps this, as well as its strength, had something to do with the damage it caused. Cemetery Commissioner Sherm Wilson called upon family members to help with the clean-up of the Evergreen Cemetery. Volunteers included his wife Maureen; their sons, Jay and West; and his brother, Bob. They took care of business in one section of the cemetery, while Commissioner David Harris and neighbor Peter Duveneck worked in other areas.
