TSA Takes Tour | Students from the Sharon Academy Middle School were greeted by tour guides, Emily Howe and John Freitag, at the Morrill Homestead on Monday, when they took tours of the house and the Strafford Upper Village and visited the “And Justice For All” exhibit in the Carriage Barn. The exhibit focuses on the 14th Amendment, which gave rights to freed slaves and was added to the U.S. Constitution in 1868. Justin Morrill served on the Joint Committee for Reconstruction which drafted that amendment and played an instrumental role in having the document printed. The exhibit is open during homestead hours until October 14. (Herald / Jennifer Brown)
