Celebrating Local | Kindergarten and first grade students from Rochester and Stockbridge Elementary School gathered for a noontime Farm to Table Dinner at the Stockbridge Meetinghouse on Friday, Nov. 22. The children have been learning about where their food comes from and the event began with them singing a rousing version of “Dirt Made My Lunch,” directed by music teacher Mallory Figoras, before they headed downstairs for their meal. The food was totally local, grown and donated by local families, and prepared by Julie Taylor. The children had helped with making the rolls and applesauce. (Herald / Martha Slater)
