BIG SOUND, SMALL SOURCE |That loud short trill you've heard on warm evenings recently just might be emanating from a very small creature. The hyla versicolor, commonly called the gray tree frog is more often heard than seen, due to its remarkably effective lichen colored camouflaged markings. This little critter, about an inch and a half in length, was found next to a small pond at 1600' elevation in Braintree.
