PREPARE TO LAUNCH | With from 50 to over 300 seeds per head, a dandelion plant can launch up to 2,000 seeds a season. Dispersed by the wind, these tiny parachutes are so light they can travel 500 miles before setting down to propagate, according the Cornell University's naturalist outreach website.
