History | In celebration of their 25th year, the Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival made a bit of history last weekend, partnering onstage at Chandler with world class jazz musicians for an evening of music from both genres and mixture of the two. The collaboration was the fruition of a long-time appreciation of CVCMF artistic director, cellist Peter Sanders, for New York City High School of Performing Arts classmates, jazz trumpeter, Ray Vega, and saxaphonist, Bob Franceschini. Enthusiasm was high following the program merging Debussy and Piazzolla with Stan Getz and Chet Baker. Observed one concert goer, "CVCMF went out on a limb tonight . . . and what a fabulous limb it was!" (Herald / Bob Eddy)
