ITÕS BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS | Excited youngsters crowded the bandstand on the
Rochester park Friday evening for the official lighting of the town Christmas tree during the annual ÒStarry NightÓ celebration, sponsored by the Green Mountain Valley Business Community. The tree is donated each year by Peter and Penny Parrish and decorated by volunteers. The tree lighting was followed by Christmas carols sung by a group led by Dorothy Robson, plus a concert by the Rochester Handbell Choir, and refreshments at Pierce Hall. Many businesses were also open for extended shopping hours. (Herald / Jerry LeBlond)
