New Porch | Folks driving through Vershire village will notice a change at the Church-Orr House, home of VerShare. The building, which houses the MIV shop, library, and hostel, at long last has its new porch, which includes a ramp for accessibility. David Hooke organized the work crews over several Saturdays, and the project is nearly complete. The decking has a timber frame cover, courtesy of Vershire business Timberhomes, LLC. Hooke, who is a co-owner of Timberhomes, said his business donated half the cost of the frame and labor, and together with donations and discounts from other local businesses, the project, which would have run around $26,000, cost VerShare around $13,000.
