Norris, a cyclo-cross racer, recalled the race route, saying, "It is just a beautiful area out here in Vermont, and I think the community is really strong. When you are out on these gravel roads, and you pop out in the middle of nowhere, people are waving at you, and offering you water. It is really something that we need to work hard to preserve."
