A restoration crew, led by Jan Lewandowski, removed the top of the steeple from the East Barnard church late last week. The community has raised money for badly-needed repairs and restoration that should be completed before winter. Elizabeth Ferry, the project treasurer noted that looking up to the steeple from inside, one could see daylight through all the holes.
