KIMBALL LIBRARY BEQUEST | Donald Dustin, who died nine years ago this spring, loved to craft fine furniture from native wood in his Braintree Hill workshop. Many of his pieces were donated to area churches and to charitable auctions. He built a cherry coffee table for the Kimball reading area which is still in use today. Added to this gift, just this past week, are a matching pair of corner display cabinets, made possible by a bequest from Dustin's estate. They were fashioned from yellow birch by Kevin Harty of the White River Craft Center, pictured here with one of the pieces under the ever watchful eye of Kimball himself. (Herald / Bob Eddy)
