AND THE OSCAR GOES TO… | It looked for all the world as if three-time Academy Best Actor Award winner Daniel Day Lewis had walked from the set of “Lincoln” onto the “white carpet” of First Light Studios for a portrait. It was, however, David Atkinson of Braintree, decked out in an authentic period stovepipe hat, borrowed from Mim Herwig in Randolph Center. “This is the costume I wore for the Chandler Film Society Valentine’s Day benefit at Mari Castle,” commented Atkinson, adding, “I wanted to get a photograph taken before shaving to play the part of Diana Ross in a musical number next week.” We doubt the resemblance will be as striking.
