KEEPING WARM | By coincidence, two separate logging operations found themselves setup along Route 12A at the base of Braintree Hill Road in Randolph last week. One, a large operation clearing land on a piece of property up the hill has yielded loads of logs. On the lower side of Route 12A, Wayne Towsend of Bethel harvests trees and then splits cord wood for Justin Poulin. Hard at work on Tuesday afternoon, Townsend estimated that he had about 75 cords in all awaiting the splitter, which would be sold by Poulin as firewood. (Herald / Channing George)
