Harvesting Trout | WRVHS students in Lisa Dragon’s Environmental Science and Biological Sciences have been raising trout in the classroom. The students help to monitor feeding, growth and mortality, and the quality of the water for optimum growth through tank aquatic sampling. Harvesting the trout the students helped to raise from eggs, they transfer the young fish to pails to take them to the intermittent stream adjacent to the school. As the fish grow they will migrate downstream to the White River to continue their lifecycle. Netting the fish from the tank, in the foreground (l-r) are Steven Downer, Robby McShinsky, and Zach Frary. (Herald / Alex Kennison)
