Keldon Lapell, 5, grins at his shark face painting done by Marti Rotchfort, right, at the Green Mt. Octoberfest in Hancock last Saturday. Due to the steady rain, the festivities were moved inside the firehouse and under an array of tents in the field next to it, but plenty of folks turned up to sample the food and beer, and check out the crafts and other items for sale. In addition to the face painting, kids enjoyed jumping in the bouncy house. Organizer Jon Deering reported that the event attracted the largest number of vendors in its three-year history.
