WRVHS Health Students CPR Certified | White River Valley High School students in Jim Hewitt’s health education class participated in a Red Cross CPR training to complete their first responder certification on Thursday, April 11. The certification was lead by a local emergency rescue worker and volunteer, Corrine Ingraham. Other students were offered the opportunity to renew their first responder certification during their ‘learning block’ class. Students learned how to check for breathing and a pulse, plus how to time heart compressions, use an AED defibrillator, clear airways, and more. (Herald / Eliza Mabey)
