A trio of Taiko drummers from Burlington perform for a crowd on the field behind Rochester Elementary School Tuesday night. Invited to town by the White River Valley Players, the drummers, led by Stuart Paton, demonstrated the traditional Japanese drumming techniques to a crowd of more than 100. Dorothy Robson, who helped coordinate the event for the White River Valley Players noted that this was the drummers' first visit to Rochester in years. "It’s kind of a captivating sound, especially outdoors with the drums echoing off the mountains," she added. (Herald / Jerry LeBlond)
