At Work, At Rest | 2015 RUHS graduate, Molly Fellows, home from her frosh year at Johnson State College is mowing Randolph cemeteries as her summer job. Here she trims a very interesting grave in South View Cemetery. The marker tells us, " Ben Robinson - Of African descent - Born a slave in North Carolina. Escorted to freedom by the aid of 8th & 9th Vt. Regiment in 1863. And brought to Vermont by Lieut. Wm. G. Holman in 1865. Died in Randolph, Vt. May 31 1910. Aged 60 years." (Herald / Bob Eddy)
