Climate related protests ranging from less than a hundred to hundreds of thousands, took place all over the globe, Sunday. The "mother of them all" was the the People's Climate March in New York City, where world leaders convene at the United Nations to discuss climate change this week. New York's march followed a two-mile route and drew on labor, immigrant, student, and local community and political groups, scientists, religious leaders, indigenous groups, farmers, health care workers, and the LGBT community alongside environmentalists and representatives of over 12000 organizations from as far away as Lima Peru, to pressure global decision makers ahead of the climate summit and UN General Assembly this week.
