Maple man Marc McKee fills the arch with firewood in the Mountain School sugarhouse, deep in the Vershire woods. Although the evaporator is brand-new, the sugarhouse was built by McKee and Mountain School students out of old Vershire barns and all the sap in the sugarbush is gathered in buckets.
